This has been my family's favorite restaurant for years. We always bring friends and out-of-towners here. The flavors and prices can't be beat.
Our standard order is a medium spicy Tom Kha (the sweet-spicy coconut soup is heavenly), Thai fried rice (very moist and sweet-savory), and sesame chicken (sweet sauce, doesn't taste like sesame to me). Boyfriend always gets spicy basil fried rice. We often get the Thai crispy rolls with veggies or chicken. I really enjoy the pad kee mow and pineapple curry as well.
In terms of spicy level, I love level 3 for the soup, but my bf and I prefer level 1 or maybe 2 for an entree because it builds and we can't get through a whole dish at 3. For reference, I like Tex-Mex spicy, but I know Asian spicy is way out of my leave. -

At first I have never really come to this side of the town mainly because I live up in McKinney. And that one time one of my friend as me to join him for lunch there I was like why not, I would go and try it. It's one of my favorite Thai food restaurant in Dallas.
The lunch portion was huge for the price you pay for compare to what you get from other place and the food is delicious. Normally I would get pad see ew with level 3 of spicy, I can handle my spicy and level 3 is already pretty spicy to me and I love it. And I had been coming back to Tom Yum for a couple times to try other entrees. I also like their chicken curry fried rice with level 2 of spicy, they're tend to a little spicy then what you get from the pad see ew. They're also my favorite.
I would definitely recommend to try it for lunch with their lunch special deals from Monday to Friday. If you like their food like me, you would be going back more often then you think. -

The Thai noodle soup was very tasty and satisfying. The herbs really came through in the broth. The noodles tasted fresh with the perfect texture. I enjoyed the pork, it was very flavorful and cut thinly for easy eating. The broth, noodles, herbs, and pork all came together and was prepared just right. My wife and I had the chicken satay as an appetizer which was also delicious. I feel like this will be our regular / go-to Thai restaurant

I love this Thai restaurant. The food here is delicious, priced right (around $7-$8 for lunch special), and casual. Wait staff here is nice too. I haven't had anything here that was bad. Pad Thai is especially good.
Back again today for another delicious lunch, but this time it's a buffet! What?!?! So apparently on Fridays at lunch, there is a lunch buffet. $9.95 per person. Today's offerings included salad, soup, green chicken curry, pad Thai, fried potstickers, egg rolls, chicken fried rice, sesame chicken, flat noodle, ginger chicken, and spicy tofu curry. Not a super large selection, but DEFINITELY tasty and enough to satisfy you. I stand by my claim that this is the best Thai restaurant ever!!!! -

You gotta get the chicken ginger rice! It looks plain, but the sauce on it is amazing. Very nice owners and service is good. The lunch buffet on Fridays is a good variety of things they offer.
